A professional business person living in Kearney was injured in a motor vehicle accident and became a quadriplegic. His therapists requested assistance determining whether his home could be made wheelchair accessible or not. United Cerebral Palsy provided information that showed how some portions of his home could be made accessible and information about the general impact on the value of the home for those modifications. We provided referral to builders in his area. The information was used by his team and his insurance company to determine whether to move forward on remodeling or building a new home. We assisted with developing the list of accessible home features and provided some concept floor plans for the family and architect.
