2018-2019 Campaign Highlights

Thank you for supporting CHAD (Combined Health Agencies Drive) in our independent and partnership campaigns across the state. Because of your generosity, we are excited to announce that we raised $1,740,195 through workplace giving during the 2018-2019 Campaign. These dollars are crucial in helping our charities achieve their missions and provide support for those in need. It's through the efforts of our donors, volunteer leadership and valued partners that this is possible. Review our complete annual report here or read on for highlights.

Our Leadership

Business and community leaders from across the state were named to our Boards of Directors at our annual meeting on Aug. 22. Thank you to the individuals who serve on these Boards for serving those affected by chronic disease, disabilities and end-of-life issues.

Campaign Outcomes

CHAD is proud to be a statewide organization with statewide partners. Thank you to organizations across the state who give their employees the opportunity to give the give of health and support the health organizations that matter to them. Here are our top Greater Nebraska campaigns (independent campaigns), top Lincoln campaigns (in partnership with United Way of Lincoln and Lancaster County) and top Omaha campaigns (part of the United Way of the Midlands Campaign). Thank you to those who participated in the Combined Federal Campaign, as well.

Financial Outcomes

  • In total, we distributed $1,184,066 to our charities over the year.

  • 90 cents of every dollar donated supports our mission and our charities.

Foundation Outcomes

Seven of CHAD’s member charities received the 2019 grants from the CHAD Curt Gordon Memorial Foundation. These funds were awarded above and beyond the quarterly distributions that these charities are receiving from CHAD, which are provided by donors through the annual statewide campaign. The Foundation Grant Committee awarded more than $20,000 in grants to the following programs and charities:

  • Autism Action Partnership: $3,000 to fund the Circle of Friends program in 10 schools.

  • Arthritis Foundation Nebraska: $2,000 to send two kids to JA summer camp and a $500 sponsorship for JA Family Day.

  • Brain Injury Alliance of Nebraska: $1,500 to fund outreach to one organization to train employees to screen, identify and manage brain injury.

  • Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, Nebraska/Iowa Chapter: $2,500 to fund two scholarships for Camp Oasis.

  • JDRF International – Heartland Chapter, Lincoln and Greater Nebraska: $3,250 to fund two family movie days in greater Nebraska.

  • Nebraska Kidney Association: $3,850 to provide approximately 230 detection screenings in conjunction with CHAD workplace giving campaigns in 2019.

  • United Cerebral Palsy of Nebraska: $5,500 to fully fund the expansion of the Go Baby Go program to greater Nebraska.

Additionally, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation - Nebraska Chapter received the first-ever #CommunityChoiceGrant. This $1,000 grant was awarded based on community vote.
