July 1, 2026 marked an exciting new chapter for CHAD as we officially began operating as an independent workplace campaign throughout the Omaha metropolitan area.
After a valued partnership with United Way of the Midlands that began in 1987, CHAD is once again serving employers and employees directly, creating new opportunities to connect people with Nebraska's leading health organizations.
The response from the business community has been incredibly encouraging. As we've met with employers across the metro, we've been welcomed with enthusiasm and a shared commitment to supporting employee health and well-being. Employers recognize the essential role CHAD's member agencies play in helping employees and their families navigate illness, disability, mental health challenges, and other health-related life events—keeping their workforce healthy, engaged, and productive.
We're excited about the momentum we're building and look forward to expanding access to our member agencies' programs, services, educational resources, and volunteer opportunities. This new chapter allows us to bring Nebraska's health nonprofits front and center, strengthening connections between employers, employees, and the causes that make a lasting difference in our communities.
